A Meaningful April 23 Event by Our Students

Bartın University Bartın Vocational School Public Relations and Promotion Program students have undertaken an important social responsibility project in cooperation with Bartın Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate on the occasion of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. The event, held under the title of "Children Always Smile", aimed to bring together children residing at Mika-Der Children's Houses Site and public relations students to give them an unforgettable holiday.

During the event, children had a great time with the clown show and felt the joy of the holiday to the fullest with the colorful kites decorating the sky. The sincere interaction between students and children was reinforced with the volleyball event, while finger painting and face painting workshops where the little ones reflected their imaginations were the scene of lively scenes. The gifts and balloons presented at the end of the program increased the happiness of the children.
The students of the Public Relations and Promotion Program, who actively participated in the project, stated that they aimed to increase the morale and motivation levels of orphaned children and to increase the sensitivity of the society towards individuals staying in child protection institutions with this meaningful event. The students emphasized that the expression of joy on the children's faces was the most valuable gain for them.
Project advisor Dr. Faculty Member Özkan Avcı expressed his satisfaction with the students acting with this exemplary social responsibility awareness and underlined the importance Bartın University gives to such social benefit-oriented projects. Bartın Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate officials expressed their gratitude for this valuable cooperation.
The "Children Always Smile" project sincerely reflected the spirit of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day and took its place in the memories of the children in Mika-Der Children's Homes Site as a valuable holiday memory.
Note: In the photographs taken at the event, attention was paid to the privacy of the children staying in Mika-Der Children's Homes Site and only the visuals of the Bartın University Public Relations and Promotion Program students who organized the event were included. Protecting our children and respecting their private lives is our priority.
