Energy Resources Awareness Event for Middle School Students

Students of Bartın University Bartın Vocational School Public Relations and Promotion Program organized an awareness event on renewable and non-renewable energy sources at Bartın Borsa İstanbul Middle School. In the event held within the scope of the social responsibility project called “Hands on the Right for Our Environmental Resources!”, a gamified learning method was applied to the students.
Through materials including the titles “Renewable Energy” and “Non-Renewable Energy”, the students had an interactive experience on the classification of environmental resources. The event, which was carried out with colorful hand prints, aimed for the students to internalize the concepts in an entertaining way.
The project aims to increase the social responsibility awareness of university students and to create a basic awareness in middle school students regarding sustainability and conscious use of energy sources. The pedagogical approach applied contributed to the development of environmental awareness at an early age.
