Exemplary Success from Public Relations Students: 24 Social Responsibility Projects Achieved Their Goals

24 social responsibility projects, conducted by students of the Public Relations and Promotion Program at Bartın Vocational School as part of their Volunteer Studies course, were successfully completed by the end of the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Under the guidance of Dr. Özkan Avcı, students actively participated in the field, developing solutions to social problems throughout the semester.

The projects, approved by the Social Responsibility Project Coordination Office and meticulously implemented throughout the semester, were finalized by the end of the final exam week. The process, which began with the evaluations of the Project Evaluation Board Members, transformed into social benefit through the students' dedicated efforts. Examining the areas focused on, 5 environmental projects aimed at raising environmental awareness and protecting nature were successfully completed. With projects such as "One Sapling, One Future" and "Leave Your Mark, Don't Leave Your Trash," students raised awareness about environmental cleanup and reforestation. Three animal rights projects addressing the feeding and shelter needs of stray animals provided support to our animal companions. Six social support projects strengthening social solidarity reached those in need, while seven educational projects covering a wide range of topics from technology addiction to language learning were completed. Additionally, two projects in the field of culture and arts and one project in the fight against addiction raised social awareness.

Students who completed their projects successfully concluded the semester by reporting on their experiences and project outcomes.
