Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol Meeting Held

A consultative meeting was held at Bartın University Vocational School to discuss how to more effectively and efficiently implement the work carried out under the Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

The meeting, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, Director of Bartın University Vocational School, was attended by Halil Balık, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice Chairmen Salim Cem Yıldız and Keramettin Şenkal, and the Chamber's General Secretary Ahmet İncekarak. Numerous faculty members from the Vocational School also participated, contributing to the process with their views and suggestions.

The meeting addressed topics focused on education and employment, including the work carried out within the Vocational School and the internship programs that students will undertake during their education. Mutual discussions were held to strengthen university-sector cooperation under the protocol, and potential joint projects were evaluated.

In his assessment at the meeting, President Balık emphasized the strategic importance of vocational schools for the business world, stating, “Our vocational schools play a major role in training qualified human resources and increasing employment opportunities for our youth. This protocol, implemented in cooperation with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), will further strengthen university-sector relations and allow us to look to the future with confidence. As Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we will continue to work closely with our educational institutions and contribute to the future of our youth.”
