Online Communication Seminars: “Political Communication and International Relations”

This week, at the Bartın Vocational School Online Communication Seminars, Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Elife Hatun Önal Kılıçbeyli spoke about Political Communication and International Relations. Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Bartın Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Ayşe Genç Lermi, emphasizing the importance of such events and sharing her valuable information with us, would like to thank Assoc. Dr. Elife Hatun offered her thanks to Önal Kılıçbeyli.

Evaluating world leaders in terms of political communication, Önal suggested that social media has reached completely different dimensions and that the social media posts of leaders such as Trump, Biden and Putin are messages constructed by political communication consultants. Emphasizing that political communication has become a must for public administrators and politicians, especially with the development of social media, Önal said, “Today, we have seen that even a neighborhood headman works with a communication consultant. Therefore, political communication should be managed by conscious communicators trained in this field,” she said. Answering the questions of the students at the end of the event, Önal stated that "Bartın is a true paradise and that he would be very happy to be with us at such an event in our university in Bartın in the coming years." The event came to an end after the certificate of appreciation was given.
